The café loyalty card that never gets left at home

You know these three regulars
The one with five half-full cards
Somewhere between the kitchen drawer and a coat pocket, their progress died — and with it the reason to pick your café over the one across the street.
The one you can't see
Paper tells you nothing. You don't know how many cards are out there, who is close to a reward, or whether the program changes anyone's behavior at all.
The one with the suspicious card
The same rubber stamp sells for pocket change at any stationery shop. Every smudged, dubious card is an awkward conversation your baristas don't want.
How it works at the counter
Designed for the morning rush — joining is faster than paying.
Set up your card once
Pick your logo, colors, stamp icon and reward in the Stampit dashboard. A working loyalty card takes about 15 minutes, no technical skills needed.
Customers scan a QR code
A small stand next to your card terminal. One scan and your card lands in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — no app download, no sign-up form, no email.
Staff stamp in one tap
Baristas scan the customer's pass with the Stampit Partners app, or just tap phones with NFC. It takes about as long as a contactless payment.
What a café card should look like
The classic works for a reason: 10 stamps, one per drink, tenth coffee free. At a 4 € flat white, a customer spends 40 € to earn a 4 € reward — right at the healthy 10% ceiling, funded at the cost of your ingredients, not the menu price.
A regular who buys three coffees a week completes the card in about three weeks — close enough to stay motivating. Research on café stamp cards shows customers actually speed up as the reward gets closer, so the last stamps arrive faster than the first.
Two settings worth switching on from day one: start every new card with a stamp already given (cards with visible progress get completed far more often), and run double stamps in your launch week so baristas have a natural opening line.
You can change the card length, reward and earn rate any time in the dashboard — no reprinting, every card updates itself in the customer's wallet.
Built for how a café actually runs
Lives in the wallet app
Apple Wallet and Google Wallet — the same place as boarding passes. Always in the phone your customer is already holding at the counter.
No app, no sign-up
Customers join by scanning a QR code. No download, no account, no form — joining takes less time than paying for the coffee.
Numbers instead of guesses
Cards issued, active cards, stamps given, rewards redeemed — per location, in one dashboard. Finally see whether the program works.
Messages on the card itself
New single-origin? Changed opening hours? Push an update straight onto the pass in your customers' wallets — no email list needed.
Shows up near your café
Location-aware passes can surface on the lock screen when a card holder walks by — a quiet nudge at exactly the right moment.
One card, all your locations
Two or three cafés? Stamps add up across all of them, and you can finally see how many regulars move between your locations.
Questions cafés ask us
Do my customers need to install an app?
No. The loyalty card is a pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet — the same place as boarding passes and event tickets. Customers add it by scanning a QR code, in a few taps. An optional Stampit app exists for customers who want all their cards in one place, but it is never required.
How long does it take to set up?
About 15 minutes. You pick your logo, colors, stamp icon, card length and reward in a self-serve wizard, print a QR stand for the counter, and you're live. No developers, no hardware beyond the phones your staff already have.
How do baristas give stamps during the morning rush?
They scan the customer's pass with the Stampit Partners app or tap phones via NFC — it takes about as long as a contactless payment. Every team member has their own login, so stamps are traceable and the card can't be self-stamped.
What about customers who prefer the paper card?
Keep accepting paper during a transition month and transfer stamps into the digital card when regulars bring theirs in. Most cafés retire paper within a few weeks once the counter routine settles.
What does it cost?
Stampit starts with a free trial, and plans scale with your business — see the pricing page for current tiers. There is no long-term contract and no per-stamp fee.
